Something interesting has been happening...

Something interesting has been happening...

I noticed that through AI art, I am able to explore my feelings visually. I’ve always been someone deeply connected to my inner world with a high level of self-awareness. Yet I’ve kept that separate from my art.

I’ve used my art as a way to explore my surroundings outside of me, not inside.

I go to a place that resonates with me, take pictures and then create artwork; it’s beautiful and moving and celebrates the beauty and magic of a moment, a place, and possibly even a time.

The more I heal, the deeper I go on my journey inward, It is revealed to me where my art comes from.

The Choreography of Being Series

The Choreography of Being Series

There came a time when I started photographing flowers again after many years of lost inspiration due to illness.

Now as I turn forward to flowers, more grounded then ever in my sense of self, and certainty of what I’m here to create in this lifetime, I find a refreshed vision coming fourth.

“I found Rebecca at a difficult time. I was looking to rediscover who I was. My session brought me a sense of peace that I can only call bliss. My problems aren’t gone, but my outlook is different. Whenever I see my framed portrait, it brings that bliss back to me no matter how hectic the day has been. And I remember who I am.”  — Sara L.

Capturing the Dream

Capturing the Dream

In my artwork, capturing a moment is part of an experience. I see the subject - be it nature or human - as an enticing doorway to evoke a feeling and an energy in each image. I explore these doorways in my creative process with each muse. Like Alice in Wonderland, I see it as a journey - an adventure - that leads to an image capturing a feeling ready to be shown to the world. The final image is truly a lovingly crafted moment of this larger experience, and it reveals more layers as you sit with it over time.

The Beauty of a Toy Camera:

As an artist, I have always been drawn to finding magic in the every day moments.  I’ve used my photography to reveal the extraordinary in everything from tiny critters and flower petals to the imperfections of being human.

But I’m not only interested in capturing the magic of moments, I’m also inspired by the magic of unusual methods and tools.

Whitney and Mark

Whitney and Mark

We laughed so much during their Remote Session! It’s clear Whitney and Mark know how to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. And they’re so creative! We had a blast experimenting with different ideas. It was inspiring to see them work together as a couple to help me set up the camera and the space. But my biggest success of the session was that Mark had a good time - I was warned that he hates being photographed! It all came together beautifully and with such a fun flow that really comes through in their portraits.
